Walthamstow Reservoirs

In 1853 the British Parliament sanctioned the
construction of reservoirs to improve the Water supply to North East
London.
Today the reservoirs provide a peaceful site for angling and birdwatching, since 1985 the land has been designated as a SSI (Site of Specific Interest). Please note this page is under construction, a more detailed history and soon to be taken photos will follow.
