Tottenham War Memorial

 

On the crossroads of Tottenham High Road and Town Hall Approach Road there is a small memorial garden to commemorate the brave soldiers who fought in WW1 and WW2.

The memorial bears the inscription:

ERECTED/ BY/ THE INHABITANTS OF / TOTTENHAM / IN PROUD AND GRATEFUL / MEMORY / OF HER SONS WHO FELL / IN THE GREAT WAR / 1914 - 1918 / 1939 - 1945 / "GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS"
The memorial was unveiled on the 17th of June 1923 by HRH Princess Louise Duchess of Argyll with the dedication performed by the Bishop of Willesden. It was crafted by WB Griffiths & Son (Designer) and Louis Frederick Roslyn (Artist).
